NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our Business Operations team as a Business Operations Program Specialist for a cover off until November 2nd, 2026.
The Business Operations Program Specialist reports directly to the Business Operations Team Lead(s) and supports leaders for designated program areas with program specific operations. This role brings a high level of business acumen to the area, providing leadership, advice, expertise, and support to functions such as: program planning, enrolment planning, timetabling, research and development of ideas or initiatives, process improvement, business activities and analysis, documentation, and evaluation of outcomes. The Business Operations Program Specialist independently leads and executes on cyclical operational and administrative activities for designated programs as well as provides support to key business functions for the division. This role's developed expertise within their program portfolio will allow them to collaborate with the Leaders as a highly-valued partner, while also demonstrating the capability to work with peers supporting other portfolios, and to determine synergies and needs across the division.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Creating, executing, analyzing, evaluating, documenting, and reporting on program business activities to meet outcomes of the Program Business Plan.
- Creating and leading a cycle of recurring business tasks that follows the academic year and touch each part of the Program’s operations.
- Working in partnership with the program leaders to manage program-related calendars, commitments, program-wide student communications, and essential business activities that contribute to the success of the program.
- Supporting program faculty with general assistance such as attaching, technical trouble-shooting, issues management, and facility bookings.
- Leading, providing input and adopting process improvement initiatives both within their program areas and division wide related to all aspects of the student experience.
- Facilitating people in the area to work smarter, meet outcomes effectively and efficiently, and moves the division forward in meeting strategic goals.
- Supporting recruitment activities in the program, liaising with divisional representative to provide resources and support to annual callouts for events, website review, and supports student-facing initiatives.
- First point of contact for learners referred to the program area and will triage and refer students on to Student Advisors, Chairs, and other areas of the college to respond appropriately.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A business Degree or related degree preferred
- Business diploma and/or considerable relevant experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of directly related experience in a post-secondary environment or similarly complex portfolio.
- 3-5 of administrative, advisor or business experience.

SALARY: $49,129 - $65,130 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
