NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re looking for someone dedicated to building pathways for learners, to join our Faculty of Business, Environment, & Technology as a curriculum developer for multiple courses within our newly announced Content Creator Certificate Program. The successful candidate will be experienced in developing curriculum for post-secondary programming and finding ways forward in teaching and learning environments that are dynamic; creating a sense of belonging for our learners; engaging playfulness and creativity in problem solving as we explore new ways of developing course content, evaluating learning outcomes, and engaging learners with various learning styles in the classroom.
Reporting to the Academic Program Manager, the Content Creator curriculum developer(s) will work with a variety of college areas to create and design curriculum that will be essential in building engaging, hands-on, and industry-relevant coursing in this new and exciting credentialed Content Creator program.

- Develop curriculum that will engage learners of varying learning styles and backgrounds.
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate learning through materials and instructional practices that are in alignment with accessibility principles and college values of anti-racism and inclusivity.
- Develop authentic assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.
- Utilize Open Educational Resources when possible for student learning.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
- Experience creating courses for post-secondary credential programs
- Demonstrated understanding of and respect for diverse academic and cultural backgrounds of learners.
- Demonstrated professional conduct, human relations skills and excellent communication skills.
- Committed to active student learning, integrating technology into curriculum, and developing engaging learner experiences.
- Understanding and knowledge of adult learning principles in post-secondary contexts is preferred.

Compensation: This is an hourly casual role, and the pay rate is determined based upon qualifications met. An additional 11.2% is paid in lieu of benefits and vacation. This role falls under the NorQuest College Faculty Association. Please reference the NorQuest College Collective Agreement Appendix A to better understand how pay is determined. This project commitment will start upon hire, with a completion deadline of July 31, 2026.
