Contract Administrator (Operations)

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for process improvement and contract management? As a Contract Administrator (Operations), you’ll play a vital role in supporting NorQuest College’s academic operations by managing contracts and grants that sustain core programming across the Academic Faculties. You'll also be developing budgets, forecast, and variance analysis for assigned areas.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Planning, you’ll collaborate with finance advisors, analysts, and academic teams to ensure agreements are executed efficiently, meet compliance standards, and align with institutional priorities. Your work will directly support the continuity, accountability, and effectiveness of NorQuest’s academic operations.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Coordinate, manage, and oversee contract and grant control processes that support academic programming.
  • Ensure contracts are reviewed, executed, and maintained in compliance with institutional policies and legislative obligations.
  • Support the development of funding proposals, performance frameworks, and reporting deliverables.
  • Prepare budget, forecast, and variance analysis for assigned areas.
  • Provides financial management support for assigned areas.
  • Participates in financial planning and the development of finance and contract processes.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and deliverables in collaboration with finance and academic teams.
  • Contribute to divisional projects that improve operational workflows and business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement improvements in contract workflows and documentation practices.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and represent academic operations on committees and working groups.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective contract execution and compliance.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum qualification of an applicable diploma and 3+ years in related experience in a post-secondary institution.
  • Demonstrated experience managing agreements and supporting academic programming.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with MS Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
  • PMP designation or contract/procurement certifications are considered assets.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft and experience working with financial analysts and reporting tools is an advantage.

Salary: AUPE Band Level 8 | Administrator IV | $61,635 - $80,033 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience.
