The Director, Advancement is a senior leadership role at NorQuest College, reporting to the Vice President, External Relations. This position is pivotal in shaping and executing the College’s advancement strategy, focusing on philanthropy, alumni engagement, and donor relations. The Director will lead the NorQuest College Foundation, manage major gift campaigns, and foster meaningful relationships with donors, alumni, and community stakeholders to support the College's mission and strategic priorities.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy aligned with the College’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Lead major gift fundraising efforts, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors capable of contributing $1M+.
- Oversee alumni and donor engagement programs to build long-term relationships and enhance philanthropic support.
- Manage the NorQuest College Foundation, ensuring effective governance, financial stewardship, and compliance with policies and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (faculty, staff, administration) and external partners (industry, government, community) to align fundraising efforts with institutional priorities.
- Serve as a public-facing ambassador for NorQuest College, representing the institution at events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen relationships and enhance its reputation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in advancement, fundraising, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of securing major gifts and managing donor relationships.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and nonprofit governance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

SALARY: $138,988 -$190,798 annually. This is a fulltime permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
