Reporting to the Associate Dean, Work Integrated Learning, this position plays a key leadership role in strengthening NorQuest’s connections with industry. You will lead and coordinate employer engagement activities that expand meaningful work-integrated learning and employment opportunities for students, while ensuring a high-quality, consistent experience for employer partners across the college.
This is a term role ending on April 30, 2027.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Lead and grow strategic relationships with industry partners to expand opportunities for work-integrated learning (WIL), employment, and student engagement
- Plan, organize, and execute high-impact employer engagement activities such as Career Fairs, Career Days, on-campus recruitment, panels, and workshops
- Oversee and enhance NorQuest’s job board by increasing employer participation and postings, while promoting its use across the WILCEC team
- Lead Program Advisory Committee (PAC) engagement, ensuring effective planning, meaningful participation, and alignment with accreditation and program needs
- Standardize and streamline PAC processes and materials to ensure a consistent, professional experience across programs
- Collaborate with Program Chairs, internal partners, and external stakeholders to strengthen connections between programs and industry
- Provide strategic advice and insights to WILCEC leadership on industry trends, engagement approaches, and partnership opportunities
- Ensure compliance with agreements and program requirements, while supporting reporting, accreditation, and data analysis activities
- Lead and support a team including the Employer Engagement Coordinator and administrative staff, providing coaching and mentorship
- Contribute to WILCEC and college-wide goals through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in a post-secondary, recruitment, or employer engagement environment
- Strong understanding of employability skills, career development strategies, and industry engagement practices
- Proven ability to build partnerships and deliver results using an entrepreneurial, relationship-focused approach
- Experience planning and delivering events, committees, or large-scale engagement initiatives
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High level of professionalism to represent the NorQuest brand
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to employer locations

AUPE Band Level 10 | Team Lead III | $79,118 - $102,737 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience.
