NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re looking for someone dedicated to finding ways forward to join our Faculty of Health Studies team at our Edmonton campus as an Instructor in our Advanced Foot Care post-diploma certificate program.

 

The Advanced Foot Care (AFC) post-diploma certificate program for nurses delivers theoretical knowledge and skills assessment related to foot care protocols and procedures, records management, and business fundamentals. The AFC instructor provides remote guidance to learners during the completion of asynchronous, online modules, followed with in-person instruction and supervision during labs and clinical placement.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

 

Advanced Foot Care Knowledge:

  • Provide guidance and instruction related to advanced foot care theory, skills, and professional practice.
  • Utilize professional development opportunities to maintain expertise in current evidence-based, best practices aligned with AFC professional standards.

 

Instructional Capacity:

  • Ability to vary instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and enhance student comprehension.
  • Integrate practical, hands-on demonstrations and simulated clinical experiences.
  • Utilize innovative teaching techniques to improve educational outcomes.

 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Engage with students, clinical staff, and patients with clarity and responsiveness, to achieve effective information exchange.
  • Develop strong professional relationships that create a supportive learning environment.

 

Learning Management Systems, Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Proficiency with learning management systems and instructional design is an asset.

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

 

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Active nursing licensure with CLPNA or CRNA with Advanced Foot Care Practice Authorization
  • Recent experience in advanced foot care nursing practice
  • Experience teaching in a post-secondary institute is an asset
  • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last thirty (30) days

SALARY:  Reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a casual Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, the Faculty Association Agreement outlines how pay is determined.
