Enrolment Operations and Registrar

Reporting to the Director of Enrolment Operations and Registrar – and working closely with the Vice President, Students and External Relations – the  Manager, Institutional Analytics and Insights provides strategic leadership for all institutional analytics, overseeing advanced data science, predictive modelling, and statistical analysis function with a focus on supporting Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM). The role is accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and governance of all student-related data reported internally and externally. This role leads the development of enterprise-level analytics capabilities, including data engineering, analytical modelling, and advanced visualization, while serving as the institutional authority on student data definitions, stewardship, and government reporting compliance.

The position operates at the intersection of strategy, data architecture, and accountability, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior level decision-making. The Manager, Institutional Analytics and Insights is responsible for developing and delivering achievable operational plans and designing a future focused multi-year strategic agenda to enhance integration across service units and ensure high-level alignment with divisional and college priorities.
This position leads a team with diverse data skillsets, including specialists in data engineering, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and BI development with a strong leadership focus on coaching and developing team members in their data expertise and communication and collaboration competencies.
This role will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders within the Office of the Registrar, leaders across all SEM committees and subcommittees, and academic, administrative, and service areas and liaise with relevant partners external to NorQuest needed to understand current and changing practices and processes to identify and speak to trends, to inform and make institutional decisions regarding data needs to support Strategic Enrolment Management. The position is responsible for enrolment reporting requirements to the provincial and federal government.  

 

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Design and oversee an end-to-end enrolment analytics framework covering the full student lifecycle (attraction through post-graduation outcomes).
  • Develop and maintain predictive models (e.g., conversion, retention, demand) and translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership and Board reporting.
  • Collaborate with academic and operational leaders to define KPIs, priorities, and provide expert guidance on data interpretation and limitations.
  • Lead the acquisition and integration of labour market, demographic, and competitor data to inform program planning, enrolment strategy, and institutional growth.
  • Oversee data pipelines, modelling, and governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, privacy compliance, and alignment with enterprise systems.
  • Direct development of enterprise dashboards and reporting tools while promoting data literacy and evidence-informed decision-making across the institution.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing analytics team; set performance standards, balance priorities, and ensure delivery of strategic outcomes and regulatory reporting compliance.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or other analyticsheavy fields strongly preferred, or other analytical/data related field required.
  • Graduate studies in a similar field is preferred.

SALARY:  $104,458  - $130,541 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time, permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
