NorQuesters are difference makers, and we’re looking for someone who will help enable strong governance and oversight at NorQuest College by supporting our Board of Governors. The Senior Executive Associate, Board Coordinator ensures the Board functions effectively by managing logistics, communications, and administrative tasks that make a meaningful difference in how the College is governed. This role acts as a connector between the Board, College administration, and external stakeholders, supporting NorQuest 2030: We Are Who We Include.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy and forming part of the President’s Office team, the Senior Executive Associate, Board Coordinator provides proactive, detail-oriented, and service-focused support to the Board of Governors. With a strong lens of policy and governance, the Coordinator ensures that the Board operates smoothly and with the highest standards of governance practice.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Meeting Management: Schedule, organize, and coordinate logistics for Board and committee meetings, including preparing agendas, distributing materials, and recording accurate minutes.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and professional communication between the Board, the President & CEO, and internal and external stakeholders. Draft correspondence and support the Board’s operations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of Board activities, including minutes, policies, procedures and official documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure the Board adheres to the Post-Secondary Learning Act, College policies, and governance best practices.
  • Support for Board Members: Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and professional development for new and current Governors.
  • Liaison Role: Act as the first point of contact for the Board internally and externally, representing the Board with professionalism and discretion.

 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A degree or diploma in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting a Board of Governors/Directors or governance body is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with Alberta’s Post-Secondary Learning Act and governance practices is considered an asset.
  • Equivalencies may be considered.

SALARY: $81,819 – $102,242 annually, reflective of your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
