Hey NQer! We’re excited to see you explore the opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a Senior Supply Chain Advisor. Our Senior Supply Chain Advisors provide expert advice and leadership to internal clients and to the department using a best practice approach including sound cost and risk analysis for the procurement of all college Goods and Services.
 
Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Management, the Senior Supply Chain Advisor has responsibilities and duties that enable the role to be an "end to end" supply chain management specialist.  The role is designed to enable higher levels of decision-making to ensure that supply chain workflows are managed efficiently.  The position is to allow for an increased level of responsibility and consultation, across and through-out the college.
 
This role also interacts with external departments and agencies as the Senior Supply Chain Advisor’s knowledge and advice is integral to ensure compliance with College policies/procedures and with all external legislative requirements, ensuring they provide the College with the best competitive advantage while mitigating and advising on risk.
 
 
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:  
 

Procurement & Contract Management

 

  • Conduct research and analysis to recommend college-wide purchasing practices.
  • Lead strategic sourcing and competitive bidding processes (RFQs, RFPs, tenders)
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute contracts, including SLAs and performance metrics.
  • Monitor compliance and supplier performance; conduct audits and evaluations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support contract leads with risk mitigation.

 

Asset & Inventory Management

 

  • Oversee tangible and attractive assets in the asset management database.
  • Lead annual inventory counts and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Coordinate asset disposal and maintenance tracking.
  • Maintain accurate physical inventory records and support PeopleSoft integration.

 

P-Card Administration

 

  • Manage procurement card program, including training and compliance monitoring.
  • Oversee system integration between PeopleSoft and US Bank.
  • Conduct trend analysis and risk mitigation for non-compliance.

 

Process Improvement & Systems

 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Champion digital transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Work with IT to maintain and optimize ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Symfact, Bids & Tenders)
  • Provide college-wide training and support on procurement systems and process changes.

 

Compliance, Reporting & Risk Management

 

  • Ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct procurement risk assessments and develop strategies to address potential issues related to supplier relatability, contract terms, and compliance
  • Prepare expenditure reports and support year-end financials.
  • Develop and deliver college-wide training programs on procurement and compliance.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:  


 
• Post-secondary diploma in business with a specialization in procurement preferred. Equivalencies may be considered.
• Working towards Supply Chain Management Professional designation (SCMP)
• Minimum 5 years of direct related experience in supply chain.Strong background in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and inventory management.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), forecasting, and process mapping.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage multiple priorities, and drive efficiency.
• Experience in post-secondary or regulated/government environments is an asset.
• Familiarity with IT or health-related equipment is an asset.

• Completed or working towards a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation (or equivalent).

• Ongoing professional development is expected.

SALARY:  $74,577 - 96,840 annually, reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. Internal movement is outlined in the Salary Administration Procedure
