Reporting to the Manager of Technology Infrastructure, the Senior Systems Analyst will thrive in showcasing our values of excellence, integrity, respect, inclusiveness, and collaboration, while ensuring the security, performance, and availability of our IT infrastructure. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the BTS team, fostering a culture of innovation and learning.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Design, implement, and manage the College's IT systems and servers, ensuring security, performance, and availability
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and learning
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Implement and manage cloud-based solutions and services, such as backup, disaster recovery, and email
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource usage, applying best practices for system administration
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing technical support to end-users and IT staff
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions
- Coordinate with the security team, ensuring systems are compliant with the College's security standards and industry regulations
- Contribute to strategic planning for the College's technology infrastructure, engaging in server and storage architecture, design, planning, and implementation
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A minimum of a two-year diploma from a post-secondary institution in a field of study directly related to the position or a bachelor's degree in information & technology or a related discipline. Experience and equivalencies may be considered.
- 7+ years of experience working with IT systems
- 3+ years in a senior-level position managing and supporting complex IT infrastructure
- Broad expertise in system administration, including hands-on experience with a range of operating systems, programs, and services, especially Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, including design, deployment, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure solutions and services, such as Azure Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, etc.
- Experience with ITIL-based change management, incident response, and task tracking
- Experience in mentorship and supporting other administrators
The following would be considered an asset:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- VMWare Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization
- IT Information Library - Foundations Certification

SALARY: $81,819 to $102,242 annually reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a perm position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
