We are hiring a causal instructor(s) for our Spring/Summer Practicum 2026.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Deliver high quality instruction which facilitates the highest possible learning among adult students.
- Prepare learning materials according to college and program guidelines suitable for adult students.
- Ensure that plans and developed materials adhere to basic standards and prepare supplemental materials as needed.
- Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of lesson delivery, assignments and tests.
- Provide formative and summative evaluation and feedback to students in a timely fashion which supports learning gain.
- Maintain accurate student records and assign final grades.
- Work as a member of a team, including liaising with program instructors and program leadership.
- Assist with curriculum development within the program and in other programs in the College.
- Assist and contribute to accreditation program requirement needs as a collaborative team member.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Completed Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CASWE-ACFTS- accredited institution
- If your education was received internationally we recommend you obtain an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations.
- Current and in good standing RSW Alberta registration (ACSW).
- 5+ years of direct social work practice or a combination of teaching and practice; field experience is necessary for this position.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (i.e. Moodle, Adobe Connect, PeopleSoft Student, Kaltura) and computer programs (i.e. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- A clean driver's licence is a benefit to facilitate practicum locations for supervisory duties.
- Vulnerable sector check within the last 30 days.
- Availability to teach classes on weekdays between the hours of 8am and 7pm.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:
Successful candidates for the Social Work Instructor position are required to provide the following:
- Educational credentials.
- A Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search within the last ninety days.
SALARY: Reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. Plus, an additional 11.2% in lieu of benefits and vacation. This is a Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, the Faculty Association agreement outlines how pay is determined.
