Student Care Representative

Reporting to the Team Lead of Student Care, this role is responsible for providing detailed front-line services and advice to NorQuest learners, staff, and community partners. Student Care Representatives are the primary point of contact to access various service areas of the college, including advising, financial aid, scholarships & awards, and the support team in the Registrar’s Office.
This position is key to establishing a friendly working relationship with the learner population, and delivers timely information through various channels, including online and in-person, to a high volume of internal and external inquiries on NorQuest programs and services.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Provide information on NorQuest programs, procedures and policies.
- Screen applicants and ongoing students, through multiple channels of communication, to determine service needs.
- Fulfill information or support requests as related to team responsibilities, while monitoring and recording interactions.
- Advise students on college procedures related to their program requirements.
- Direct learners and College visitors based on their needs.
- Stay up to date on NorQuest service departments and standards to provide clear communication to learners on next steps.
- Book, cancel and reschedule appointments, or queue learners using established software systems.
- Prepare materials for distribution to staff and students to support information management.
- Represent the department on cross-functional teams and working groups.
- Handle service requests for maintenance or technical issues as needed.
- Support training and development of team members.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A post-secondary certificate; diploma in Business, Finance or Administration preferred.
- Two to three years of administrative and customer service experience, preferably within a post-secondary environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Word; some knowledge of Excel preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in PeopleSoft considered an asset.

SALARY: AUPE Band Level 4 | Representative II | $42,099 - $52,745 annually, reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
